Description: The Scorpion/Pyramid descent is easily one of the best descents in Sedona. An easier variation of this ride is to simply descend all the way down Scorpion instead of turning right onto Pyramid. We have built this route as a quick lap, but you can easily make this descent a part of an epic. Expect an incredible trail full of quick turns, rock slabs and constant action. This trail is actually quite challenging especially when ridden at speed. There are also a series of short climbs, so by no means is this trail all downhill. The trail could also be shuttled as there is easy road access off Red Rock Loop Road.
Trailforks wasn’t letting us connect the final trail of the ride to this route… to get back to your starting point hang a left onto Red Rock Loop Road and simply climb back up to your starting point. A variation would be to climb up Old Post and Herkenham trails back up to your starting point.
Key trails are: Scorpion and Pyramid
