Description: Rigs in Zen is a super hard trail. Please DO NOT ride this trail if you are going to skid down it… this trail is generally only ridden by very experienced riders who know how to get down it without skidding.
This is a fantastic ride for expert level riders. Start with a fun but fairly technical climb up through Coho Park. From there, you will make your way up to Alice Lake Park (you can go for a quick dip here if you feel like cooling down). From the lake you begin a brutally steep climb up a service road, at the top of which you’ll find the best trail of this route…. Rigs in Zen. Make sure you soak in the view from the top located just behind the radio tower and looking to the west.
“Rigs” is one of the very best technical trails in Squamish. Expect super hard terrain and be prepared to walk a few sections even if you are an incredibly talented rider. Once you figure the lines out on this gem you start feeling the true flow that can be attained in a classic Squamish trail. Ride out on Crouching Squirrel Hidden Monkey and Kiki and finally down Brackentrail. Spin down Tantalus road back to your car.
**A harder option is to ride down Dirty Jane instead of Crouching Squirrel.
