Description: Oakridge is home to epic rides and massive shuttles. It can be hard to find a nice short cruise, but this is an awesome one! This is a fantastic out and back that follows the bank of the Willamette River and somehow almost feels like it’s downhill in both directions. A perfect intermediate ride or short spin to refresh tired legs. There are also a couple great swimming holes along the way!
This ride starts and finishes at the parking lot on the west side of the Office Bridge (the longest covered bridge in Oregon). There is water and washrooms here and even a small pump track to play on. If the Westfir Lodge is open, stop in for a meal post-ride beer.
Note: There can be poison oak at the side of the trail in this area so don’t strip down for a swim and roll around in the forest afterwards!
Note 2: This trail should not be confused with the far more difficult black diamond trail called the Middle Fork Trail.
